A fearless conversation is a healthy open dialogue that addresses “wondering” questions about faith and God in a compassionate environment, using the Bible as our source to find the truth. It’s all about sharing experiences openly and embracing doubts and questions. As you seek to understand others through active listening, you trust the Holy Spirit to guide you all the way.
Too often taking our faith into the workplace amounts to evangelism or moral responsibility. There is certainly nothing wrong with either practice, but this study takes us further into our faith so we can also embody the gospel as a part of our work, office, home, or anywhere work may take us.
Why do we lose our temper? Why do we hurt those we care for most? How do families find themselves broken? The reason is often the way we think. Beyond behaviors and deeper than attitudes, thinking determines outcome more than anything else. God offers our only hope for victory over disposition, dysfunction, double-mindedness, and every other mental stronghold. With Him we can think differently.
Explore the Gospel of John and move toward a more intimate relationship with Jesus through His miracles, what He said about Himself, and what others said about Him.
God Owns It All tackles the money question we all ask: How much is enough? The answer to this question is found in God’s Word. With over four decades of experience in the financial-services industry, Ron Blue presents financial principles that are affirmed by the authority of Scripture and tested by the marketplace. He knows that God’s principles work and are needed in our finances. These biblically based principles will equip us to approach money management and financial planning with freedom, generosity, contentment, and confidence. When we apply the biblical truths offered in this study, our finances will be ordered, our decisions will be simplified, and our experience will invite contentment in all areas of our lives.
Steps is a gospel-centered recovery resource that takes people to the root of sin and suffering and leads them to embrace the freedom found only in Christ’s redemption. Based on a successful program at The Village Church and featuring teaching videos from Pastor Matt Chandler, this 13-session discipleship tool is essential for Christian counselors, support groups, and recovery ministries. STEPS is about discipleship. At the end of the day, Steps enables us to create a culture in which the ongoing ethics of confession and repentance take root in the life of the church
What’s needed now, in shifting times, is neither a doubling-down on the status quo nor a retreat into isolation. Instead, we need a church that speaks to social and political issues with a bigger vision in mind: that of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Christianity seems increasingly strange and even subversive to our culture, we have the opportunity to embrace the distinctiveness of the Christian faith and to be marginalized for the sake of the gospel.
Life’s Healing Choices takes a deeper look at the hurts, habits, and hang-ups that stifle the abundant life God has planned for us. We learn how to release past hurts, apply God’s truths to everyday decision-making, forgive and ask others for forgiveness, and build a healthy foundation for change; looking verse by verse at the Beatitudes and learning eight ways to be blessed.
David Platt believes that the truths of the gospel should compel us to a contrite, compassionate, and courageous personal response to social issues in the culture. Using biblical foundations, practical illustrations, and personal exhortations, this study is a pointed yet winsome call for readers to faithfully follow Christ in countercultural ways. There will be a cost. There will be a reward. Do Christians in the contemporary church have the courage to counter the culture?
Seven Realities for Experiencing God examines seven scriptural realities—those Moses experienced in Exodus 3—that teach believers how to develop an obedient love relationship with God. This eight-session study overviews the seven realities and then, session by session, explores truths like “God is always at work around you” to introduce a biblical pattern by which God reveals His will so that believers can join His activity in the world. Small-group friendly, it contains content that can be consumed daily in a manageable amount of time.
MasterLife is an excellent family of resources to guide both new and experienced believers to develop lifelong, obedient relationships with Jesus Christ. There are four, six-week studies in this series: MasterLife 1: The Disciple’s Cross; MasterLife 2: The Disciple’s Personality; MasterLife 3: The Disciple’s Victory; and MasterLife 4: The Disciple’s Mission. It is recommended that participants complete all four studies in sequence. However, any of the four can be studied independently as a stand-alone study as well.
Within the MasterLife process, participants will be encouraged to practice spending time with the Master; live in the Word; pray in faith; witness to the world; live victoriously; nurture new Christians; mature as a disciple; and learn other key disciplines of faith.
