What is JAM Kids?
We want our kids to have a place of their own, where they can grow in the knowledge and wisdom of following Jesus. That is why JAM stands for “Jesus and Me.” We desire to see kids walk hand in hand with Christ, and plan on doing all we can to teach them and care for them.
During our regular services, and other events, we provide a safe place for children, so that parents/guardians can have peace of mind while they are involved with other ministries in the church. In our nursery area for Babies thru 3yrs Old, we care for, hold, play with, and teach the children we are entrusted with. During Sunday morning worship, we also offer Children’s Church for 4 yrs Old thru 5th grade. Here we use bible lessons, music, games, and activities to teach them who God is, Who Jesus is, and what it means to follow Him. The lessons are designed to show them how to apply God’s word to their life, and how to treat others. In all, we want our children to grow up and become wise Christ-followers.
When You Arrive…
At South Walker Baptist Church, there will be someone at the front desk to great you as soon as you enter. Here are the steps we take to ensure the safety and security of your children:
1. The person stationed at the desk will gather important information about you and your child(ren).
2. You will receive a name tag(s) for your child(ren) that has a number on it. You will be given a tag with a corresponding number to keep with you throughout the service. We do not allow children to leave with anyone unless they have their tag.
3. Babies thru 3yrs Old should be checked in to the nursery prior to the service if possible. 4 yrs Old thru 5th Grade begin in the service with the adults. They will participate in worship thru music alongside you. Before Pastor Mark begins his message he will dismiss the kids to go to the back where they will begin their journey of learning and growing together in Children’s Church.
